Literature Text

Two Trees
They stand in the green grass.
Their silver reflecting off the water like light from a mirror. Peace
they have come to bring. To many souls that pass their way.
People wonder why I stare so intently.
I do not see what you see.
I do not see two trees.
I see a mother bird in her nest feeding her young,
a doe drinking from the lake,
butterflies fluttering freely without care,
and rabbits neatly nibbling nice carrots.
Then I see
a snake slithering silently stalking a bird,
wolves killing doe and deer alike to feed their young,
butterflies falling one by one from the smoke of a forest fire, and
foxes chasing the rabbit so their pups will not starve in the unforgiving winter.
I see this, a storm, disrupting the ideal paradise.
The never ending circle of life.
I see all this through an eye that does not see.
I do not see two trees.
I see people's lives
happy, married, children, and
perfect?
No.
The storm comes, and blows their limbs
making them reach out for one another in desperation.
Death, loss, unemployment, physical pain, and
the pain of the soul.
No life is in harmony all the time.
A storm brews and tries to knock us down.
You may not see it,
you may not expect it,
you may never think it will come,
but
it will.
Trust in the trees.
See what I see.
For I do not see two trees.

For class we had to write a poem about a piece of artwork we saw on a field trip. I took this picture with my phone the art is conjoined by Roxy Paine. This is the poem I wrote. The part about nature is an analogy to the part about human life later on in the poem. I Really like this poem. Tell me what you think, Please commit :icongrin--plz:
I DO NOT own the art in any way! I just wrote a poem about it.

I find this poem odd. I love the vivid content and clear message, but the presentation is unstructured, disjointed and very hard to read or speak. Adding some structure or rhythm to it might make the voice more prominent.
