It starts out with this nervous, tense feeling, and suddenly this part of your mind notices that you're shaking. Your chest is being squeezed tight, and you can't suck in enough air, no matter how hard you try, so you fill your chest up with as much air as you can and bring it in, harder faster. Your mouth dries up, but there's no spit to moisten it with, and black spots show up over your vision. Every muscle is screaming to run, but they won't work right, so you just tense up even more, and now the world starts to spin around and you're not even sure which way you would run if you could.

The Eternal Outcast

These are the words that have burdened me throughout my life. Their insurmountable weight forever entrenched in my conscious. Being denied since childhood that human warmth for which we all long for. Always the odd one out, always the last one chosen, the one no one wanted to play with. Reminded that a favor was given under the pretense of compassion. Indeed, children can be so mean spirited. And not unlike my childhood my adolescence was greeted with open arms by discontent. Never got the girl, always made fun of, shunned from the group like a waste of space. As I grew older my state of abandonment remained the same. They say that adulthood is synonymous with tolerance and acceptance but in the end society held me in the same level of contempt. Adults are more adept at concealing their resentment but you eventually learn to see through their smiles. The Bus Stop Dialogues

I. A young man at the bus stop turns to me and softly asks "Why aren't you wearing shoes?" He taps the faded leather of his suedo-skin and his eyes smile in a gentle lilt before his mouth does. I tell him that I like to feel the earth breathe. That textures keep my mind alive and ticking like a clock. I tell him that I'm trying to grow roots so my pale limbs can twist into a tree (the way L and I talked about it in therapy). Ok so I imaged a girl with long hair that the wind is blowing behind her, and the wind changes. A gust goes through her heart and when it continues out the other side she starts to cry. She feels alone, sad, depressed, unloved, bullied, hurt (maybe abused?), but she hides it from everyone. That's why she feels her soul is hollow all the pain and bullying she just lets go and acts fine, but she really is hurt. But the wind pushed her emotionally to let her tears flow. I haven't done haiku's in a long time, so i was excited when i wrote this! This is a Japanese Haiku with 5 syllables 7 then 5.
